Credit Union Worker Accused Of Embezzling

ST. LOUIS (AP) - An employee of the St. Louis Community Credit Union is facing federal charges accusing her of taking more than $100,000 from the company.
A federal grand jury has indicted 36-year-old Jamie Askew of Troy, Ill., on one felony count of embezzlement from a credit union. The indictment was announced Thursday.
Federal prosecutors say Askew embezzled $104,755 between July 2009 and May of this year. Askew does not yet have a listed attorney.
