Silver Dollar City Unveils New Wooden Roller Coaster, "Outlaw Run"
Silver Dollar City is unveiling it's new wooden roller coaster.
The $10 million dollar ride is called 'Outlaw Run'. It has the world's steepest fall for a wooden coaster, with a 16 story, nearly vertical, drop.
KTTS News asked Cory Roebuck, Director of Operations with Silver Dollar City, where this roller coaster is located on the property and how they've kept it hidden.
"If you walk past our giant swing, that's going to be the entrance to this. It sits on about six acres and has been hard for us to hide. But, if you've rode our stream train anytime recently, you may have seen certain elements of it. We've actually tried to cover it with a 100 foot long, 30 foot high banner that's being dropped today."
It's the second fastest wooden coaster in the world. It'll be ready to ride in 2013.
