Fordland Man Dies From Gunshot Wounds, Murder Charges Expected
A man who was shot in the face over the weekend at a home in southern Webster County has died at a hospital in St. Louis.
Authorities say Joel Cook from Diggins will be charged with the death of Travis Parker from Fordland.
The shooting capped an argument between the pair at Cook's home.
Joel Cook is now in the Webster County jail charged with first degree assault.
Sheriff Roye Cole believes those charges will be upgraded to first degree murder.
