Marionville Schools Gets Bond Issue For Construction Projects
Marionville Schools got the okay for $1.3 million in bonds for construction. The no-tax-increase measure will pay for a vo-ag building at the high school. It will also help expand the cafeteria to 3,000 square feet.
The superintendent says the high school was built in 2008-09, but a tight budget kept a vocational agriculture building out of the picture. He says the same was true for the cafeteria space.
The district says it will start taking bids and try to begin construction in the fall. Target completion is 2013-14.
