Joplin, Kirksville Recognized For Getting Kids Outside
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - The state is recognizing Joplin and Kirksville for their efforts to get children outside.
The two cities have been designated as Missouri Children in Nature Communities for having places and programs that encourage young people to get outdoors.
The award is coming from the State Department of Natural Resources.
