Springfield Man Convicted Of Child Abuse
A man from Springfield has been found guilty on four counts of child abuse.
Prosecutors say Jeremy Zapata committed various sexual acts against his ex-girlfriend's daughter when the child was five and six years old.
Zapata was arrested in Utah where he fled after the allegations first surfaced.
Zapata is already a convicted felon. When he is sentenced in November, Zapata faces ten to 30 years on each of four counts.
