(Missourinet)  - Missouri is becoming part of a national trend in fatalities around railroad tracks.

The national group, Operation Lifesaver says more people are being killed while trespassing than are killed in vehicle crashes at railroad crossings.

A spokesman says if you remember the phrase, "Stay Off, Stay Away and Stay Alive" you won't become a victim.

Four pedestrians have been killed and five have been injured in crossings around Missouri this year.
