Firefighters spent the better part of Sunday bringing a more than 300 acre wildfire under control off Farm Road 43 and Highway V south of Walnut Grove.
Nobody was hurt, and no homes were lost or evacuated, but several barns filled with hay went up in smoke.
Greene County emergency management said nearly every department helped bring the flames under control.
No official word on what touched off the flames.
