Nixon To Provide Update On Emergency Water Program
Hundreds of farmers and livestock producers have been approved for emergency water assistance since a new state program was announced last week. Today, Governor Nixon will stop by the stockyards in Joplin to update farmers and the news media.
Nixon will have the latest numbers and talk about the assistance that is still available.
Earlier this month, the USDA issued a state disaster declaration which was followed shortly after that with a similar one from Nixon.
Nixon will meet with local farmers and producers this morning at 11 a.m.
