Dade County Fire Gets Dangerously Close To Buildings, Kept At Bay

Wind and several hundred hay bales provided fuel for a big fire on the Arcola side of Stockton Lake.
Dadeville Assistant Fire Chief Brian Worthington was among those called in to help. He tells KTTS News they think someones boat trailer blew a tire and sparked several fires along Highway Y near Highway H.
Worthington says the flames found roughly 300 hay bales and took off toward Stockton Lake, threatening a boat storage facility and several homes. He says all the buildings were saved.
