Several Crews Called To Burning Home South Of Fair Grove

Smoke rising into the sky from a house fire near Fair Grove could be seen from north Springfield Saturday afternoon. A number of fire departments rushed tanker trucks to Farm Road 197 and Farm Road 48.
Early reports said flames were spreading from a house to at least one nearby structure like a barn or outbuilding. Family members told fire crews they weren't sure if the homeowner was inside or not.
An ambulance was sent and put on standby, but we've not heard any reports of it being needed.
