Springfield C-U Asking For Water Conservation
For the first time ever Springfield C-U is putting it's customers under a Water Watch. Leaders are asking you to voluntarily conserve water, with the current supply sitting at 74%.
C-U General Manager Scott Miller says it could take as little as six weeks for things to get critical in this drought.
Miller says many of us enjoy our days in air-conditioning, not realizing how hot and dry it really is out there.
An emergency plan takes effect if the water supply dips to 60%.
