Severe Thunderstorm Watch For Parts Of The Ozarks
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for areas south and east of Springfield.
Until 9:00pm Thursday, the following counties are under the watch:
Barry
Christian
Douglas
Ozark
Stone
Taney
Wright
SHORT TERM FORECAST NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO 154 PM CDT THU JUL 26 2012 THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP ALONG AND SOUTH OF THE INTERSTATE 44 CORRIDOR THROUGH THE REST OF THE AFTERNOON. THESE STORMS WILL BE SCATTERED IN NATURE...AND DEVELOP AT RANDOM. THE INDIVIDUAL CELLS WILL MOVE TO THE EAST AT AROUND 25 MPH. THE STRONGER STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH...ALONG WITH FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING. $$ CRAMER
