McCaskill Says Tax Cut Bill Is For Middle Class
(Missourinet) - Saying she did it to protect the middle class, Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill voted with majority Democrats to extend Bush-era tax cuts for all but the wealthiest Americans.
McCaskill says the middle class is the "meat on the bone" of a vital U.S economy.
Republicans, like Roy Blunt say higher taxes will hurt job creation efforts because many of the wealthy own companies that produce jobs.
The bill stands little chance for approval in the Republican led House.
