Springfield Church Building Homes In Rural Nicaragua
Hundreds of people in poverty stricken rural Nicaragua will soon have new homes thanks to the generosity of the National Avenue Christian Church in Springfield.
Today, the church is presenting a check for $25,000 to the Rainbow Network in the church's fellowship gallery on South National Avenue at 10 a.m.
The first installment of a $100,000 gift.
The donation initiates the construction phases of a project that will provide safe, secure homes for 25 poverty-stricken families living in a rural village.
Construction of the homes is slated to be finished in March of next year.
