Springfield Shutout At Home By Travelers
The Springfield Cardinals managed just two hits off Arkansas starter Ariel Pena in seven innings as they fell to the Travelers 5-0 at Hammons Field.
Cardinal starter Carlos Martinez earned the loss, giving up three runs and seven hits over six innings. He walked one and struck out six before being lifted.
The double A Cards will try to regroup tonight, when both teams square off at Hammons Field.
First pitch is 7:08 p.m.
