Nixon Will Visit Drought Stricken Farmers In Springfield
Fresh off an emergency declaration from the Governor because of the drought, Jay Nixon will take the wraps off an emergency cost share plan for farmers affected by the weather when he visits Springfield this morning.
Nixon and state agriculture director Jon Hagler will explain the plan to area farmers at the Springfield Livestock Exchange on Independence Drive at 9:45 a.m.
