Whooping Cough Concerns State Health Department
(Missourinet) - The Centers for Disease Control says Missouri is among a list of states that have seen an uptick in whooping cough.
Last year, we recorded 438 cases, already this year 408 cases have been confirmed.
The state department of health says the disease is spread through human contact, and while it can be fatal, there are antibiotics that will treat it.
All kids must be vaccinated before they enter either day care or school.
