House Bursts Into Flames South Of Nixa

A number of fire departments sent tanker trucks to a house south of Nixa, where flames were reported just before 9:00 p.m. Saturday.
Crews had to send truck-fulls of water to the 1800 block of west Riverdale because there are no fire hydrants in the area. They were on a strictly defensive operation for more than an hour.
There have been no reports of injuries. No word yet on how the fire may have started.
