Safer Roadside Working Conditions In Missouri
(MoDOT) - Missouri's highway workers hope a new law makes their jobs safer.
Maintenance chief Beth Wright says the law calls for drivers to slow down pull into another lane on a divided highway when they see a crew working, because she says, driving is the most dangerous thing people do every day.
Its the same thing you are supposed to do when you see a cop car, fire truck or other emergency vehicles on the shoulder of a highway.
Wright says its all about safety for roadcrew workers who want to go home to their families at the end of a shift.
