Woman Struck And Killed In Springfield

A woman was struck and killed overnight while walking along Boonville Avenue near Chestnut in Springfield.
Springfield police say they are questioning a person of interest in connection with the crash..
Police tell KTTS News the car sped away after hitting the woman and a witness was able to give officers a description of the vehicle.
The woman's name has not been released.
No arrests have been made.
