Eddie Salazar, Sr. is charged with murdering his 8-month-old son in Carthage
A man from Carthage who was convicted earlier this year of killing his infant son is asking for a new trial.
Eddie Salazar was sentenced to life in prison for the 2010 death of eight month old Eddie Salazar Junior.
At first, he said somebody broke into his home and took the boy. He later confessed to the crime.
The baby's body was found later in the Spring River.
