Court Documents Reveal First Phase Of Porter Murder Investigation
Newly released court documents outlining the first weeks of the Rusty and Becky Porter murder investigation show the movements of a suspect the night the couple disappeared from their home.
The Springfield News-Leader says court papers show deputies from Greene County believe that 44-year-old Tony Friend from Springfield was near a heavily wooded area in Taney County where the bodies of the Porters were found months later.
Friend, who has not been charged with the murders, remains behind bars on an unrelated drug arrest.
