Convoy Of Hope Preparing Backpacks For Needy Kids
A group of junior and senior high school kids from James River Assembly are spending part of their day preparing a thousand backpacks for students in rural communities in the Ozarks and elsewhere.
The backpacks are being packed at Convoy of Hope's distribution center in Springfield.
A spokesman for Convoy says the backpacks will be sent to Churches to hand out to kids in rural communities whose kids can't afford to buy school supplies.
The backpacks are being sent as far east as rural Indiana.
Convoy of Hope says it's all about helping kids who are in need.
