Registered Sex Offender May Have Worked At County Fair Illegally
Police in Lebanon say a 25-year-old sex offender from Richland may have been working at the Laclede County Fair illegally.
The man was told to leave the fairgrounds this past week when a Lebanon officer found out he was on the Pulaski County sex offender list. The man says he had permission from the sheriff's department to work the fair.
Police say even if that's true, he may have violated state statute, which prohibits register sex offenders from being within 500 feet of a daycare or public pool.
The Laclede County Prosecutor will not confirm or deny if charges will be filed.
