Starting this week, families in Stone County can get a free computer program from the sheriff's office to monitor their kids' internet use.

Sheriff Richard Hill says it's not just about keeping an eye on the kids, but on those who may try and exploit them.

Hill says his cyber-crimes detective has had a busy first year on the job, posing as an under-age child and catching a number of solicitors.

Hill says the ComputerCOP program is normally $40, but he bought 1250 copies with non-tax dollars  to be given out for free to families in Stone County.
