Springfield Cardinals Win 5th Straight
The Springfield Cardinals have won five in a row.
They did with timely pitching and hitting in beating the Northwest Arkansas Naturals 5-1 before a sell out crowd at Hammons Field on Saturday.
Oscar Taveras lead the attack going three for three plus a walk. He scored two runs and boosted in Texas League leading batting average to .333
With the win, the double -A Cardinals climb to 49-41.
Seth Maness will try to make it a sweep when he takes the mound tonight at 6:08.
