A bases loaded walk in the bottom of the 13th was the clincher as the Springfield Cardinals came away with a 2-1 victory over the Northwest Arkansas Naturals at Hammons Field.

It was a pitcher's duel until the 9th, when the Naturals Paulo Orlando hit a home run.  The good guys tied in the bottom of the 9th when Jaime Romak hit a homer to tie the game at a run a piece

Cardinals starter Richard Castillo didn't get the win, but threw seven innings of shutout baseball.

Both teams square off again tonight at Hammons Field.
