Blaze Started By Fireworks Near Missouri Institute of Natural Science

A grass fire in southwest Springfield threatened the Missouri Institute of Natural Science.
Firefighters were called to near Cox Road and farm road 190 after a fire started by fireworks jumped the fire line.
The fire rekindled after being doused with water.
Crews were able to get a wet line around nearbybuildings, including the Institute of Natural Science, and eventually got the fire under control.
