Springfield Loses To Frisco 11-7

  • Frisco and Springfield Line Up For Pregame Ceremony At Hammons Field

The Springfield Cardinals were down at one point by  a score of 6-0,  mounted a late inning comeback to pull within a run before losing the opening game of a road series with the Frisco Roughriders 11-7.

The Cardinals began their scoring in the sixth, thanks to rbi hits from Oscar Taveras, Chris Swauger and Xavier Scruggs, cutting the lead to one run.

Chris McGuinness dashed the Cards hopes for a comeback in the 7th with his 18th homer of the season.
