Few Fireworks Fires Battled This Holiday

A couple of communities are thanking people today for heeding the warning and limiting fireworks this year.
Nixa says it responed to 10 fire calls, but in eight of those cases the flames were already out by the time they arrived.
Down in Western Taney County, crews say they went to 24 fires, but folks called them in early and they were quickly contained.
Firefighters say even though the holiday, the break from danger is not. Still, no outdoor burning until we get some rain.
