Record Highs Set In Springfield And West Plains
This was the hottest 4th of July on record for both Springfield and West Plains.
In Springfield, the mercury hit 100, breaking the old mark of 99 set in 1954.
In West Plains, the high hit 101, breaking the old mark of 98 degrees set in 1953.
New records could fall or be tied today, with the high in Springfield predicted to reach 100.
