Springfield Pool Hours Extended, Cooling Centers Open For Extreme Heat

With temperatures on the rise over the next few days the Springfield-Greene County Park Board is offering extended hours at city pools during a Heat Advisory from the National Weather Service.

A special event called Splash n' Sizzle this week lets you get into the water for just $1 or one canned food donation. Those canned donations will go to the Ozarks Food Harvest. 

 

Wednesday, July 4
Fassnight Pool, 1300 S. Campbell Ave., 12-8 p.m.
Grant Beach Pool, 1300 N. Grant Ave. 12-5:30 p.m.
Meador Pool, 2500 S. Fremont Ave. 12-5:30 p.m.
(All other pools closed for Independence Day holiday)
 
Friday, July 6
Grant Beach Pool, 1300 N. Grant Ave., 5:30-8 p.m.
Westport Pool, 3100 W. Mt Vernon St., 5:30-8 p.m.
Silver Springs Pool, 1100 N. Hampton Ave., 5:30-8 p.m.
 
Saturday, July 7
Fassnight Pool, 1300 S. Campbell Ave.,
Meador Pool, 2500 S. Fremont Ave.
 
All outdoor pools are also open normal hours Thursday through Sunday, 1-6:30 p.m.
 
Normal admission is $2.75 adults, $2.25 kids 17 and under. After 5:30 p.m. admission to all pools drops to $1 or a canned food item.
 
The city will also open two free cooling centers to help people catch a little relief from the heat.
