Fugitive From Portland Crash Arrested In Missouri
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Portland police say a man wanted on charges from a fiery traffic crash in 2006 has been arrested in Vernon County, Missouri.
Police say 30-year-old Douglas Eugene Price is accused of vehicular assault as the driver of a speeding car that crashed into a taxicab.
Price's car caught fire, burning four people.
The 53-year-old cab driver suffered severe injuries.
The next year, police said, a judge issued a warrant for Price's arrest, but Price and his wife, Andrea, fled
Police say an anonymous tip this year pointed to Missouri.
They say authorities found that Andrea Price's mother had a coffee shop in Nevada, and Andrea Price was working at Walmart while Price was using the name "Josh Gibson."
Price was arrested Saturday and held for extradition.
The women face charges in Missouri.
