Traffic Deaths Up Nearly 20 Percent In Missouri
(Missourinet) - Traffic deaths around Missouri are up nearly 20 percent during the first half of this year compared with 2011.
The highway patrol says drivers and passengers not buckling up and not paying attention are two of the biggest reasons the death toll is up.
Troopers will be stepping up their public education campaign, and beefing up enforcement.
The first test will be the 30 hour 4th of July traffic period which begins at 6 p.m.
