Taney County Grass Fire May Have Been Intentional

Sheriff's deputies in Taney County are talking to a woman who according to several eyewitness accounts started a fire that burned off some grass at Highway 86 and Ridgedale Road. The woman was picked up walking away from the fire Monday afternoon. A spokesman for the Western Taney County Fire Protection District says it took about an hour to contain the blaze. Construction workers from the nearby Top of the Rock site provided firefighters with additional water trucks to knock down the flames.
