The Highway Patrol has released the name of the man who was shot and killed during an officer-involved shooting in Marionville.
37-year-old Adam Bergseth was from Springfield.
Police say Bergseth was reportedly holding a woman against her will.
He was shot several times after threatening officers with a pair of scissors.
Police chief Mark Webb says the officer who shot him was not yet Taser-certified, and was one of two newer officers set to take the class at the end of the month.
