Update: I-44 Reopened Following Truck, Trailer Fire

Fire crews from Halltown and Mount Vernon had a flaming truck and trailer to deal with on the Interstate for a while this afternoon. Part of I-44 had to be shut down for a while.
Halltown Fire says a trailer being pulled by a truck blew a tire and someone had stopped to help when something caught the trailer on fire.
Everyone got out of the truck without getting hurt. The interstate is back open to traffic.
