Update: Man Killed In Marionville Charged At Officer With Scissors
The Highway Patrol is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Marionville. It happened at the Applelane Townhomes Saturday night.
A neighbor who wanted to be anonymous tells KTTS News a woman was being held against her will by a man staying with her and her husband. Two of her three kids were gone at the time, but her one-year-old son saw it all happen.
The neighbor says the woman texted a friend for help when the man wouldn't let her leave. Police arrived and the man grabbed a pair of scissors from the kitchen and charged the officer. The neighbor says it took several shots to bring the man down.
An officer with the Highway Patrol says the suspect was a 37 year old man from Springfield. He says the man's ID will be released when his family is notified.
