Autopsy results on a man's body may bring murder charges against a man from Springfield.

Police say Robert Sondree has been charged with assault. He's accused of pushing Bobby Newman onto some concrete at a house off Kansas and Nichols, where Newman hit his head. Officers say Newman was not responsive when they got to the house. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Court documents say Sondree's girlfriend had been drinking at Newman's house, and that she had been groped there. The probable cause statement says Sondree pushed Newman down during a confrontation.

An autopsy on Newman's body is scheduled for Sunday. Depending on what the medical examiner finds, prosecutors say more charges may come down against Sondree.
