Springfield Police Investgating Suspicious Death

One person is dead and Springfield police are calling the death suspicious right now.
Yellow crime scene tape is up around a home on North Kansas Expressway, just south of Nichols.
When KTTS Reporter Greg Brock ventured up to the scene this morning, there was yellow crime scene tape around a second house on Nichols, to the northeast of the house in the 900 block of North Kansas where the body was found.
Police Sergeant Chris Wells says more information will be released later this morning, and at this time there is no public safety issue.
Friday night police were called to this area about an assault.
