Steelman Says She's Furious Over High Court Ruling
A U.S. Senate candidate from Missouri says this week's Supreme Court ruling upholding President Obama's national health insurance plan will energize conservative and Republican voters this fall.
Sarah Steelman tells KTTS News she is terribly disappointed and really furious about the ruling, because she says it takes away freedoms, raises taxes on middle-class families, and is "just plain wrong."
She says this allows the federal goverment to tax people if they don't go along with a certain program and means there are no limits on the power of the federal government and what Congress can do.
Steelman says we need to remove barriers which keeps people from buying insurance across state lines, which would allow for more competition and prices would end up being lower.
