Wanted Springfield Man Arrested In Atlanta
Authorities in Atlanta say a man from Springfield charged with child sex abuse was arrested at an airport there Friday night.
KSPR-TV reports US Marshalls say Antonio Alburquerque was talked into giving up by family members after traveling to several countries including Chile, Panama,and the Dominican Republic.
Alburquerque left Springfield after posting a $50,000 bond without a hearing requested by the prosecutor's office.
Officials blame a clerical error as the reason why the former Federal Medical Center worker was allowed to go free without a monitoring device or having to give up his passport.
