$1.2 Million Grant For Springfield Fire Department
The Springfield Fire Department is getting a one-point-two million dollar federal grant.
This will allow it to hire nine firefighters who will staff a yet-to-be-built station at Chestnut and Duke.
This grant is from the Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) program.
