Stolen Chalice Returned To Catholic Church
ST. PETERS, Mo. (AP) - A stolen silver and gold chalice is back at a suburban St. Louis Catholic church after a man came forward and admitted he stole the goblet that's valued at $6,000. Authorities say the man let himself into Saints Joachim and Ann Catholic Church in St. Peters and took the chalice to a local pawn shop, where he sold it for $100. It was later returned to the parish.
