City Utilities Watching Water Usage During Drought
As the drought drags on, officials at Springfield City Utilities are watching water usage.
Spokesman Joel Alexander says there is enough in storage to meet current demands.
At 60 percent, CU would impose a series of mandatory conservation steps. At the 55 percent level even more steps would be taken to restrict water use.
For now, Alexander says customers can use as much as they need without being wasteful.
