Nationwide Salmonella Outbreak Traced To Springfield
A nationwide Salmonella outbreak that infected nearly 70 people in 20 states has been linked to a mail order chicken hatchery in Springfield.
The Centers for Disease Control says investigators have traced the source back to Estes Hatchery on North Mentor Avenue.
Many of those made ill reported buying baby chicks for backyard flocks as pets or to produce food.
