Gas Prices Dropping In Missouri, Nation
Here's something you don't see a lot during the summer time -- gas prices actually going down.
Mike Wright with Triple-A says the statewide average is about $3.23 a gallon. That's 15-cents lower than this time last year.
Some stations in Springfield are selling it for as low as $3.18 a gallon.
The nationwide average is about $3.40 a gallon, but South Carolina is already under $3 a gallon.
Wright says he's noticed that gas prices are starting to spike more in April and May, instead of July and August.
He says prices should keep going down to around $3 dollars a gallon.
