Springfield School Board Set To Approve Budget
The public will get its final chance to weigh-in on the pending budget for the Springfield public schools tonight.
A $212 million dollar spending plan is before the board when it meets at the Kraft Administrative Center on St. Louis Street at 5:30 p.m.
The board is also expected to set aside some money due to a drop in federal Title 1 funds which help low income kids and schools with a high rate of poverty.
By law, the new budget must be in place by end of June.
