Missouri Supreme Court To Hear Ballot Issue Cases
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - The Missouri Supreme court today will hear arguments on cases that could affect the November ballot. The issues could determine if voters will decide whether to raise the minimum wage, increase tobacco taxes and limit interest rates on payday loans. Among the issues is whether the state auditor has the legal authority to prepare financial estimates for ballot initiatives.
